Sonia Mintun, CFA
Sonia Mintun, CFA joined Ancora in 2008 as a Portfolio Manager. She manages individual and institutional accounts. She also provides research on large cap value and Ancora’s Private Client strategies.
Sonia began her career in 1983 working for Bernstein Macaulay in New York City as an Assistant Vice President and portfolio manager on their high grade and high yield fixed income products for six years. During that time, she was the portfolio manager for a $200+ million closed end mutual bond fund. In addition, she has worked as a portfolio manager and head trader for Westinghouse she raised over $200 million through a collateralized debt obligation.
Before joining Ancora, Sonia was a Vice President and portfolio manager for First Fiduciary Investment Counsel. In addition to managing accounts and researching companies, she was the Chief Compliance Officer for the firm. Prior to joining First Fiduciary in 2004, she was a portfolio manager and analyst for The Proper Analysis.
Sonia serves on the Board of Trustees for the Lehigh University Alumni Association and is the President of the Northern Ohio Lehigh Alumni Association. She also served on the Leadership Committee at Hawken School. She previously was a writer for Street Insights, a subsidiary of theStreet.com.
Sonia graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Accounting and Finance. She also holds the CFA designation and is a member of the Cleveland Society of Security Analysts.
