In this season of giving, we are thankful to be in a position that allows us to support those in need in our community. We are very proud to announce that, on behalf of Ancora, our employees, clients and friends, we have chosen to make a donation to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

Friend of the firm Rick Chiricosta, who is Chairman, President & CEO of Medical Mutual, has served as 2020 Campaign Co-Chair for Harvest for Hunger, Northeast Ohio’s annual hunger relief campaign. That connection led us to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, an organization that helps provide over 57 million meals each year. Given the current climate and rise of food insecurity, this cause especially resonated with us this year.

As we all know, 2020 has been a challenging year in many ways. Not least of which is that, according to Brookings, food insecurity is on the rise in the U.S. since the onset of the pandemic and remains elevated over levels seen in 2019 and during the Great Recession. Giving back to our community and supporting those in need has always been a core value at Ancora, so it wasn’t a difficult decision to do things on a larger scale this year.

We were thrilled to present a check on November 23rd to Kristin Warzocha, President & CEO of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
